Step 1: Online Inquiry

Complete the application form online by submitting your inquiry through the Register Online page on our website.

Step 2: Application Review

Once your child’s application has been successfully submitted, it will be reviewed by our Admissions Team.

Step 3: Entrance Exam

If the application meets the initial requirements, your child will be invited to take an entrance exam to assess skills in three core subjects: Arabic, Math, and English.

A non-refundable fee of AED 500 is required at this stage

Step 4: Oral Assessment

After the written exam, your child will undergo an oral assessment to evaluate communication skills and identify any specific learning needs to support their success.

Step 5: Early Years Interview (Pre-KG & KG)

For Pre-KG and KG applicants, a play-based oral interview will be conducted. Children will be observed during activities to assess social interaction, communication, and developmental readiness.

Inclusive Admissions

 An inclusive school, DNS treats all of its students equally, including the students of determination who are provided with extra support in terms of admission, which is aligned with their particular circumstances. Admission applications for the SoD students should be supported with a piece of evidence indicating the nature of their cases, as their applications require a thorough review from both the Senior leaders and the school’s Inclusion Champion to meet the needs of these students.

Required Documents for Admission

As the student is accepted and admitted to our school, you would be required to provide the school admission team with the following documents:

  • Six recent passport-sized photos of the child
  • A copy of the student’s Emirates ID
  • A copy of both parents’ /guardians’ Emirates ID
  • A copy of the student’s passport and residence visa 
  • A copy of both parents’ /guardians’ passports and residence visas
  • A copy of the child’s birth certificate
  • A copy of the health certificate and the health file
  • A copy of the vaccination card
  • A copy of the most recent school report (it should be attested in case it has been awarded by an institution from outside the country)
  • A transfer certificate from the previous school (it should be attested in case the student studied in a school outside the country)
  • A letter of recommendation from the current school if applying for grades 6 to 12 

Age Requirements & Grade Placement

Dubai National School Al Twar adheres to the current age requirements and grade placement regulations established by the Ministry of Education, as outlined in the table below.
