Established in 1988, Dubai National School is a private, independent institution offering an American-based curriculum, owned by H.E. Mr. Marwan Ahmad Al Ghurair.
The school is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees who are deeply committed to both national and international educational advancement.
Over the years, Dubai National School has expanded to include two campuses—located in Al Twar and Al Barsha—both offering the American program. These strategic locations were thoughtfully chosen to serve students from across Dubai and Sharjah.
Dubai National School Al Twar welcomes students from Early Childhood (ECC) through Grade 12, providing a comprehensive educational experience tailored to the diverse, multinational community of Dubai. The school follows an American curriculum based on the Massachusetts State Standards, designed to meet the academic needs of students from various cultural backgrounds. English is the primary language of instruction across all grade levels. In addition, strong emphasis is placed on Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, Moral Education, and UAE Culture. These subjects are taught in accordance with the Ministry of Education (MOE) guidelines and are offered to both native and non-native Arabic speakers.
Since 2012, Dubai National School Al Twar has been fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) through the Commission on International Education(CIE).
The school remains committed to ongoing improvement and actively continues its journey through the accreditation process.
Dubai National School offers a comprehensive range of elective courses, allowing students to tailor their learning experiences according to their interests and career goals.
In addition, the school provides Advanced Placement (AP) courses, ensuring alignment with Ministry of Education equivalency standards and preparing students for future academic pursuits.
